  1. Solution Design Sprint

With this project, we started out with a solution design sprint, in this sprint we highlighted the challanges, goals and

deliverables of the mobile app, some key features we highlighted were:

1. Tap testing feature

  1. App to provide actionable insight on tests results

  2. Monitoring Parkinson's symptoms and tracking progress

  1. Low-fi Designs

From the solutions design sprint, I designed wireframes to conduct user testing with, the key objectives of the user testing was to:

1. Gain understanding of how people living with Parkinson's use mobile devices

  1. Test weather the prototype passes Accessibility standards for people living with Parkinson's (button sizes etc)

  1. User Testing Results

Using the insight we gathered from the User Testing, I was able to refine the designs to better accommodate the app for

people living with Parkinson's Disease

  1. High-Fidelity Designs

At the end of the project, we ended up with a full end to end prototype of the app, next steps are to conduct user testing with new sets of users to get their input on the platform and possibly pick up any painpoints.

  1. Prototyping

After high-fi designs, I prototyped the rest of the remaining screens for client to present to shareholders, prototyping was also a easy way to take stakeholders through the designs in a way that imitates the final product.

  1. Learnings

This project showed me the importance of user testing, and getting user feedback, it was a good reminder on why I wanted to become a UX Designer, having those interviews was critical in me understanding the user needs and seeing how they would use it in the real world, a lot of my assumptions was challenged and I hope at the end the app works for people in the real world.
